Biography

I was born and raised on a small farm in Southeast Missouri. I began playing trumpet in fifth grade, and in just a few months I also acquired a guitar and began learning it as well. I played in several small bands throughout high school and college. In 1973 I came to Nashville with a group known as the Next of Kin and recorded a song for the small label, Delta Records.

I have since performed on stages around the world with artists such as David Frizzell, Donna Fargo, Lee Ann Rimes, and many others. I am also a singer/songwriter/bassist. Along with guitarist/vocalist extraordinaire Mike Loudermilk I formed the duo "DoubleShot" and we are working to release their first album as a duo, but we have known and worked together for over 25 years. As not only outstanding instrumentalists and vocalists, but also as good friends, our music encompasses many genres from classic rock and roll to country rock, jazz and pop.
